VSP Vision Care Earns 20 Years of NCQA Credentialing Accreditation

|

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – VSP® Vision Care is proud to announce it has once again earned a three-year National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Accreditation in Credentialing, marking 20 consecutive years.

The standard NCQA Credentialing Accreditation is a two-year recognition; however, VSP’s score earned the enhanced three-year honor, which is good through 2026.

“We’re thrilled to achieve the highest standard of credentialing for the VSP Vision Care provider network,” said VSP Vision Care Vice President of Network Development and Transformation Mark Popp. “It demonstrates our commitment to compliance for our vision care clients and partners to ensure the highest quality of care for our members.”

NCQA Credentialing Accreditation is a voluntary review process and is governed by the Standards for Accreditation in Credentialing, developed with the assistance of representatives from the Standards Committee, the Review Oversight Committee, and input from other organizations.

“Achieving NCQA Credentialing Accreditation demonstrates that VSP Vision Care has the systems, process and personnel in place to conduct credentialing in accordance with the strictest quality standards,” NCQA President Margaret E. O’Kane.

NCQA has reviewed and accredited VSP Vision Care’s credentialing functions only. For complete details on the scope of this review, visit www.ncqa.org.
