Eyeconic Introduces Live Virtual Try-On and Pupillary Distance Tools to Enhance Online Eyewear Shopping Experience

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – Online eyewear retailer Eyeconic® has announced the launch of a new live virtual try-on tool powered by FittingBox along with an innovative pupillary distance (PD) tool. The addition of these technologies help enhance the Eyeconic shopping experience by allowing customers to see how different frames look in real-time while wearing their current glasses and without the lengthy set up process, in addition to helping find the perfect fit and lens alignment.  

The new live virtual try-on tool offers a faster and more seamless experience compared to the traditional recorded try-on tools that require involved set up processes, including removing current glasses, holding a card up to your face, and moving your head side-to-side to capture a static image. The live video feed within the tool allows customers to move their head around, change hairstyles and even adjust lighting to find the perfect frames.  Additionally, the new pupillary distance tool enables customers to measure their pupillary distance from anywhere, ensuring optimal lens alignment, accuracy and visual comfort.
